Fire Breathing Dragons retire.

Noah had his last soccer game last night. In the end, they really
did quite well this time. I asked Noah if he wanted to sign up again
for next time. No. He's not real interested in the competition.
Much more interested in thinking up names for the team, like Silver
Robots and Fire Breathing Dragons. He has a great mind. He's a
great thinker and he makes me laugh all the time.

Passat with a broken leg?

I had my car in a couple of weeks ago to get new brakes put on. Ever
since then, I have heard a little scraping sound. I figured it was
the new brakes getting set. The little scraping sound has now turned
into a full-on murderous screeching banshee when I turn hard left.
The front right tire. Something is really wrong. I hate mechanics.
It's like going to the hospital to get a shot and coming out with a
giant gash in the side of your head. And I'm guessing that when I
take the car back, they will say, "By Odin's Beard! You have a
serious problem! - but we're not going to mention that it is our
fault."

Home Appraisal

Tomorrow ( I guess on my blog this will be read as today ) our home
gets appraised at 9:00 am. This is the scary thing. The inspection
just tells you if your house is about to fall over. The appraisal
however, is the uncertain process of determining from many factors,
if a home is worth what it is being sold for. This is such an
arbitrary business, determined by the most vague and random factors,
including if the appraiser is having a good day or not. So, because
our home is small, it is very important that it appraise well in
order to qualify for the price we have sold it at. Should it not
appraise for that amount, I have no idea what happens, but it cannot
be good.

So, I am up late cleaning everything, trying to get it looking good
for the morning. This sucks. I cannot wait till it is over. I hope
it goes well and we get the value we are asking. Wish us luck.
